Bộ phim là câu chuyện về cô nhỏ xíu Sakura dễ thương và đáng yêu nhưng hơi vụng một chút. Trong một đợt tình cờ, Sakura Kinomoto vẫn tìm thấy và mở cuốn sách với phần nhiều là bài phép màu do một vị pháp sư có tài đã chế tác ra, và rồi Sakura được chọn làm một người sở hữu mới của quyển sách.

Và rồi cô nhỏ xíu đã vô tình giải thoát những lá bài ma thuật làm hồ hết linh hồn của lá bài bay vào trong thiên hạ và có nguy cơ tiềm ẩn gây tai ương cho cầm giới. Thần thú phong ấn, Cerberus vẫn thức thức giấc và chỉ định Sakura là fan truy bắt các lá bài, từ đó một mẩu chuyện mới của Sakura bắt đầu. Sakura luôn luôn cảm thấy vui và niềm hạnh phúc vì mặt mình luôn có những người dân bạn sát cánh đồng hành và trợ giúp mình một trong những cuộc chinh phục các linh hồn: chú con chuột tiên Cerberus, người bạn bè Tomoyo, cậu bé nhỏ mang loại máu pháp sư Syaoran. Thông qua những cuộc chạm trán với phần đa linh hồn của rất nhiều lá bài bác đó, Sakura ngày càng cứng cáp hơn, học tập hỏi được không ít điều giỏi và gồm thêm ghê nghiệm trong số những lần đoạt được tiếp theo.
